This notice explains the cookies and similar technologies used on brightmcr.co.uk. Analytics cookies are only set if you actively accept them. When you first visit the site you are asked to choose, and nothing is loaded from Google until you accept.
Strictly necessary storage
We store your cookie choice itself in your browser's local storage under the key brightmcr-cookie-consent-v1. It records only whether you accepted or rejected analytics and the date of that choice, so we do not have to ask you again on every visit. It contains no personal information and is not sent to us or to any third party. Clearing your browser storage removes it and the banner will reappear.
Analytics cookies
If you accept analytics, we load Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-477FYTHKWB), which sets the following cookies on your device:
- _ga — distinguishes one visitor from another. Expires after about 2 years.
- _ga_<container id> — maintains the analytics session. Expires after about 2 years.
We use this only to understand aggregate usage of the site: which pages are viewed, how visitors move between them, and general device and browser information. IP addresses are anonymised. We do not send Google any information you enter into our calculators, order forms or contact forms, and we do not send names, email addresses, financial details or order references. Google acts as our processor for this data; see Google's privacy information for businesses.
Marketing cookies
We do not use advertising or marketing cookies, and we do not share any data with advertising networks.
Managing your preferences
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time — accepting and rejecting are equally easy, and rejecting has no effect on your use of the site. Use the button below, or the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer of every page. If you withdraw consent, analytics collection stops immediately and the Google Analytics cookies listed above are deleted from your browser.
